Dr. Kurtis Wyrostok attended Strathcona Christian Academy right here in Sherwood Park. He then relocated to study Kinesiology at York University in Toronto before attending the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic with honours. CMCC specializes in providing evidence based care centred around the patients own personal needs and Dr. Kurtis uses this foundation in his approach to care. Dr. Kurtis has worked with high level athletes in Ontarios League 1 Soccer, Canadian Premier League and the Greater Toronto Hockey League as a team trainer, providing pre-game treatment and injury analysis. His role was to react and assess on field injuries and develop sport specific, return to play protocol catered to each individual athlete.
Dr. Kurtis specializes in a hands on treatment approach, including chiropractic adjusting, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization, kinesiotaping and patient specific rehabilitative exercise to address structural deficits and correct issues to get each patient moving and back to doing the things they love most.
Aside from his time at Brentwood, Dr. Wyrostok loves weightlifting, playing sports (especially golf, soccer and hockey) and travelling in his free time. He is a diehard leafs fan (with a soft spot for the oilers).
